Wonder Brook Park
An outstanding tract comprised of one town-owned and two Trust-owned properties totaling nearly 80 acres. The trail threads through upland forest and fern beds, and crosses a brook and streams leading to the banks of the Kennebunk River near the head of tide. This quiet preserve is a picturesque oasis. Noted birds: Pileated Woodpecker, warblers abundant during migration.
Preserve is just .5 mile east of downtown Kennebunk at the end of Plummer Lane; parking is available at the trailhead, information kiosk on site.

A picture trail map!
The parking area, hills, bridges, trail signs, and other features are all included in visual form over text form. This gives a different experience to people learning the trail system.
Thank you to our 2025 Youth Summer Volunteer Sam Downes for creating this map!
