Preparing for your walk
- Once you’ve registered for the walk, you’ll get an email with information for planning and preparation.
- Walks begin at 10am. Please plan to arrive 5 - 10 minutes early.
- Walks are generally 1.5 hours, so bring any water, snacks, appropriate clothing for the time of year, and other preparations to be outside for that amount of time.
- Comfortable footwear is important. Boots walking sticks/poles are encouraged, and items such as bug spray or sunscreen. Do frequent tick checks!
- During hunting season, we encourage wearing orange for additional safety.
- It’s always a good idea to have snacks and water with you and bring binoculars if you have them!
- Well behaved, leashed dogs welcomed as well.
