Join KLT and Thyme For Wellness to discover foraging!

PLEASE NOTE: This walk is postponed until Sunday May 19th. Same time/place: 10 - 11:30am at Alewive Woods.

Lori will lead a walk identifying wild edibles such as trees, bushes, and plants and how to respectfully harvest and use them, along with important survival tips like how to collect water and what to look for to create a safe shelter.

About Lori: Your guide to the wonders of foraging, whose deep-rooted connection with nature has been cultivated over 24 years as an herbalist.  This unique blend of knowledge allows her to appreciate each plant's purpose, its role in the ecosystem, and how we can interact with it harmoniously. Nature's gifts are full of surprises in every season, one never knows who will be poking out of the ground as our climate shifts and changes. So, between wintergreen, birch, pine, sumac, blueberries and sweet fern, the woods in Maine are full of foraging opportunities.

"As an experienced herbalist, I revel in the unpredictability, as it keeps us on our toes, urging us to adapt, learn, and grow alongside the flora we so deeply respect and rely upon." - Lori Walsh
