Kennebunk Land Trust (KLT) is hosting a naturalist walk on Sunday, October 1st beginning at 10am at the Alewive Woods Preserve. The preserve boasts over 625 acres of land and a 45-acre pond at its center. Parking is available at the trailhead. The 2.5 miles of trails can be described as easy to moderate in difficulty.
KLT Executive Director, Gordon Collins, will lead the walk. The walk provides an opportunity to learn more about local flora and fauna and get outside with old and new friends! Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather. Any cancellation due to weather will be posted on our Facebook Page. Directions to Alewive Woods: From the intersection of Route 1 (Main Street) and Fletcher Street (Route 35) in Kennebunk, proceed west on Fletcher Street for 1.8 miles. After crossing I-95 bear left on Alfred Road and drive 3.0 miles. Bear right on Cole Road and drive 0.7 miles. The entrance to the parking lot for Alewive Woods Preserve is on your right (Lat: 43° 25’ 50” N; Lon: 70° 37’ 19” W).
